Advanced-Privacy stops incrementing the leak counter 24 to 48 hours after a restart

Hi,

I noticed that 24 to 48 hours after a restart, Advanced-Privacy stops incrementing the leak counter despite using apps with trackers.
If I restart the phone, the counting resumes.
My phone is a Fairphone 4 with /e/OS pre-installed, which I have had since February 2024.
It seems to me that the problem started with version 3 of /e/OS.
I first noticed the problem with a website full of trackers (leprogres.fr, where it is the web browser that is accused of tracking) and then with apps such as meteoblue or the car app. I also installed the Radio France app, which has about ten trackers that are triggered as soon as the app is launched and continue to leak during use (easily more than 100 leaks in 1 hour, which is handy for testing Advanced Privacy  ), and I had the same problem.

I disabled the private DNS I had been using from the start (quad9.net), but that didn’t change anything. I also cleared the Advanced Privacy cache and forced it to shut down and restart, but again, that didn’t change anything. After 24 to 48 hours, Advanced Privacy no longer shows any new leaks blocked. I don’t know if it’s the counter that’s bugging or if Advanced Privacy is no longer blocking anything.

I do not use false location nor false IP in Advanced Privacy, only trackers blocking. I do not have a VPN.

Has anyone noticed similar behavior?

Best regards. JBF
