After installing /e/OS on Fairphone 6 slot B unbootable

I bought a Fairphone 6 (FP6) with Android on it. I installed /e/OS on it with the Web Installer. After I installed /e/OS my phone was stuck in the bootloader. With the help of ChatGPT and the terminal I found out, that my phone tried to boot on slot B but slot B was unbootable. So I activated slot A with the terminal and then my phone booted on /e/OS.
ChatGPT explained to me, that it is important that both slots (A and B) are bootable, because the next update of e/OS will be installed on the other slot. If it doesn’t boot then and the bootloader is cloesed my phone will be brick.
I installed /e/OS two more times with the Web Installer in hope, that slot B will get fixed. It didn’t work.
What can I do to fix slot B?

Thanks in andvance for your support.

In what way did it not work?

  • original?
  • repair attempt?
  • the implication is that the install method finished prematurely. This has been reported to happen silently (or un noticed).

The manual install script avoids the problem of the title by flashing both slots.
(eosinstaller is actually expected to do the same.)

Easiest thing may be manual install Install /e/OS on a Fairphone The Fairphone (Gen. 6) - “FP6” rather than debug the installer.
