Hello, After the update v4.1.1 on my Fairphone 6 I don’t receive any mail and I can’t send Andy mail.
Can someone help me with that problem.
The account does not have any blocks on it. Are you able to send emails using this account.
I have a similar problem on my FP6 with 4.2. I cannot send or receive any mails via SMTP using WiFi and the /e/ os mail client. The server is smtp.web.de
Maybe related to the current DNS problems? Via mobile data it works.
I have the same problem with FP5 and v4.1.1
First it didn’t load or send (or both, don’t remember) any e-mail, while on the laptop it worked fine.
So i logged out and then logged in again and now it’s all just blank. The list of e-mails is visible for a split second and then there is just nothing. No new e-mails coming in. I have not tried sending.
(It was all via wi-fi, because my phone just won’t make mobile connection any more. The SIM card works in other phones.)
Dear Manon, I am not able to send e.mails.
I just had contact with my Dutch KPN provider. Together we looked at the settings on my phone. Everything was ok.
On this Forum I learn that more people have problems with the same issue.
I think Murena has to dissolve it.

Looks like this is related to the APN of ipV6 that is badly configured and maybe using a wrong DNS.
A likely solution would be not to use Wifi but only 4G or 5G. Did you try ?
Same issue here. Began with 4.1.1 - unfortunately still consists with 4.1.2.
Receiving mails is possible after device start and apparently also after changing between Wifi and mobile data. After some time updating the mails ends in a timeout.
To all with this issue needed some clarifications for the developers

My FP6 is now in 4.2 Official.
I have several mails configured in Mail app. e.email / gmail / yahoo / hotmail.
I can see a new email in Gmail webmail but nothing in Mail app on the phone. Even if I ask for a refresh. Same with e.email.
It takes sometimes 4 ou 6 hours to see the mail in the app on my phone.
If I go in accounts param, last synch is on 25/8. I select 3 dots to synch the account, no improvement but the date has change to 27/8. But no new mail in Mail app.
I try to put the phone in fly mode, no improvement. To disconnect / reconnect 5G, no improvement.
I try to restart the phone, no improvement.
I try to reconnect the Gmail account in params, I receive a new mail regarding the Google Alert. So new mail arrived in phone but the mail which was received at 8:00 is not in the phone but is in gmail website.
I remove option in mail app to unify mails in chat, no improvement.
So if an important mail comes in mailbox, I am not sure that email will be visible in app phone ?
Edit : I have installed K-9 mail and configured my gmail account. I find now the mail from 8:00 which is not in Murena app mail. I send a mail to that mailbox and it is received immediately in the phone. Why Murena mail app is so slow ?

I can only agree with the comments. I own an FP6. Since updating to 4.1.1, the connection to my router seems to be difficult, which is not fixed with the 4.2 either. I always have to reactivate the Wi-Fi connection to establish a data flow. It’s not just emails. It’s also the weather app, news app, etc.

Murena online mail send and recieve mail.
Nothing on the mail sync app on the phone. Send and recieve. The app seems KO

Did you try with 4G/5G and not Wifi ?
Alternatively, from what others said, you may try to de-activate IPv6 in your wifi router.

I had same problem with a hotmail mailbox.
When configuring SMTP server, I see a wheel running on screen all day long. If I turn off WiFi on the FP6, everything is then working.
But even if WiFi is turned off, I receive mails in k-9 mail app and not in official Murena app 
Maybe your second problem is simply linked to the fact that the murena emails take time to be distributed by the murena server.
Try mixing your different email addresses between K-9 and the /e/OS mail app to confirm this.
This could be the case at certain times. I just tested by sending my account a mail using a gmail ID and got the email within seconds. I checked using the mail app and thunderbird mail client.
Will ask our infra team and app team to check giving the sync times you shared.

This morning, I have received 2 mails. I had notification frol k9 and I didn’t open them.
5 hours later, no notification from official mail app. I opened app and those two mails were not in the list.

I also have problem with receiving email since the last update (v4.2 on a FP6). And when I try to send an email I sometimes get the error message “Command line too long…”. The problem is both on WiFi and 5G.
As of 4.1.1 Email and OTA updates have the same issue. Both apps take minutes trying to update and run into a timeout. Both apps do work again after network reconnect - but only for a given time.
Browser and other apps with internet connection have a similar issue but do not tend to run into a timeout. Here we talk about a waiting time between 5 and about 10 seconds when opening a new connection.
Seen on Fairphone 6 since the update to 4.1.1 - before everything worked smooth. I cannot speak for FP5, though.
Once again, I have 2 notifications from k9 mail about 2 mails received in gmail mailbox. 3 hours ago.
I didn’t open them. No notification from Mail app.
This morning I have deleted 3 mails (1 from gmail, 1 from yahoo, 1 from e.email) in k9 mail and they are still in e/os/ mail app. I pull down to refresh Mail app, no change.
I have opened mails in k9 and deleted them, no change in Mail app.
It is strange. Such behavior was not present before 4.1 I think…
