Hi,
I like every everything about e/os from a privacy perspective except the iphone type ui. So is a launcher such as Lawnchair on /e/os 3 compatible and working?
Thanks.
PS: I know Murena does not want to support another launcher, I am just asking people tried to use alternatives.
I’m using KISS Launcher on my /e/ phone.
On my (other) backup /e/ phone i use the minimalist Olauncher,
no distractions .
You can check the f-droid catalogue for FOSS apps, or the app-lounge (settings: opensource apps).
Yes.
But don’t uninstall Bliss (if you stumble upon a guide how to do this), components of it still get used, even if it isn’t the default launcher anymore.
I would use and recommend Lawnchair Legacy from Google Play store (via Aurora Store ofc). It is more stable and has fewer open issues than the beta version. I know it hasn’t been updated for a while, but it works fine and has no security issues that I know of. It’s the first app I install on any new device, whatever ROM I am using, and has been since I started with /e/OS - I donlt like Bliss either
No, i do not loose /e/OS-advanced privacy.
You can activate it or not.
I always use it: tracker blocker on, GPS fake on, except when navigating needs exact location.
And hiding ip adress is also your choice.
You are in the driver’s seat
A problem with Pear Launcher is that it’s not completely free. When you want to have notification bullets (and sure most people want to have that) you have to pay. This is the same with Lynx Launcher which I use currently.
Hi,
I use Pie Launcher and like it very much. It’s fast, very efficient and has a great privacy score. You can easily find the github site where it is explained how the launcher works.
