App LeMonde (French newspaper) is not working

I have FP4 with v3.2-A14 (official build) and it’s been a week that my App LeMonde (French newspaper) is not working anymore.

When I launch it, it’s stuck on the logo screen then “Le Monde is not working” message. I try to unistall and install from App Lounge. It works for 1 hour (why ?) then it’s not working again.

I clear cache and desable advanced privacy for this app but nothing help.

I’ve never had such issue before and I don’t have any other bug.

Hi,

Did you try to download it on Aurora ? Mine working on FP6 with v3.2. I just remove Batch from Advanced Privacy to receive notifications.

Hello,

I have pinned the “Le Monde” web site on my home screen and it works fine exactly as if I had the app  !

It worked well before even with all tracking from AP. I will try with Aurora.

This is the only solution now but their app is way better

Hello,

I have the same problem with a FP6 with 3.2-a15

Same problem the first launch is OK on fp6 then the app launch but freeze on the logo. I am forced to use the web app.

I had a similar pbm with this app. When I tried to update it with Aurora, it worked for about 1 ( or 2) hour(s) and then freezed. Reinstallation from Aurora got the same behavior.

Reinstall from Lounge got a fine stuff.

I retried the updates with Aurora some times with same bad behavior. Don’t know why this happen

I have got exactly the same syndrome with FP5 /e/OS 3.2 and 3.3 no matter the way the app is installed (Aurora or lounge). Le Monde’s e-staff told me they use Google services. That might be the reason. I am disappointed that they often advocate numerical sovereignty but they don’t behave the way they talk!

The issue is still here too. Maybe a next update of eOS could solve the problem. I hope developers will see this.

It’s weird, i don’t have this problem with Le Monde on my FP6…

For your information, LeMonde app behaves the same way on a Google android device. So probably not related to /e/OS but rather to the app itself.
