Hello. I bought a Teracube 2S past May, and yesterday, when I was trying to enter App Lounge, I got a message saying: “We recomend creating a Google Account dedicated to App Lounge and then, make login with it. It offers the best balance between privacy and convenience, As an alternative, you can use anonymous mode.” The thing is that no button or option is provided on screen to use anonymous mode and that was working fine before. Has this something to do with recent Google´s atempt to trash F-Droid, Graphene OS and Murena? How should I regain the previous anonymous mode to enter App Lounge? The whole purpose I bought a Murena phone (this is the second I own…) was not to have a Google account ou Gmail account… Today I also read on the tech news, that Google is introducing a selfie video to recover blocked accounts. This whole thing is making me very unconfortable regarding the privacy issues around it… Can someone tell me if there´s a way to keep using App Lounge and update my apps as I was before? And where´s that anonymous mode? I really do not want Google around if it´s still possible… Thanks in advance for the help, I hope I made myself understood.Regain your privacy! Please dont´say that, I´m not making this up. It doesn´t offer options, it displays a message about what I should do. I can´t enter the menus where the apps usually display and I don´t see the usual front for the app. I bought it brand new through Murena store and I´m running e/OS 4.1.1… it says official sapphire. I didn´t mentioned it before, but I already emptied the caches, the situation remained.
It is important to log out and empty Storage, if it doesn’t work first time it’s important to do it all again and be prepared to wait 2 to 12 hours before the next attempt. Did you notice that there are already quite a few app-lounge (<- is a link) threads with similar issues?
For now you could use the Aurora store until someone comes up with better solution. To do this open browser and then go to f-droid.org, download and then install f-droid.apk. You will be asked for permission you can grant them. Then once f-droid store is installed let it update it’s repositories.
Next step is to search in the f-droid store for Aurora Store. Download and install the Aurora store, you will be asked for permission to install the app from the f-driod store you can grant it.
Now use the Aurora store, again you will have to grant permissions. Both stores are safe, just make sure you get f-droid from f-droid.org.
Edit: Can you please also tell us the eOS version on the phone right now. Look at system update or about phone /e/OS version.
Not before, just noticed after I made the post, it seems more and more people are having the same problem. I wonder if it has something to do with one of the corrections of App Lounge mentioned on the release notes of version 4.1.1.
ok i seem to be in the same case.
It’s not the app loung which doesn’t open, but on opening, normally you have 3 options. with personal google account, with anonymous google account, and without google account only f-droid and pwa.
I’m in the same trouble with various phone flashed with unoffical 4.1.1.
It seems related to location. sometime i can connect anonymously but can not see apps in my region. Other i can connect thru tor, connect anonymously and see the app but can not install (it stuck downloading), aurora works the same but i can download.
Hello,
There are users reporting that the Anonymous button is hidden by the accessibility setting they use that enlarges the text and damages some interfaces.
Your case simply looks very similar; so try first to deactivate all configuration modification you did like accessibility setting, text enlargement or Keyboard replacement (many problems come from that as well, /e/ cannot support external softwares, too many combinations).

Hi Gabriel, thanks for your tip. I did what you recommended me, but the problem remains. Backed to default keyboard and text size, still no change. I followed Jets advice and downloaded Aurora Store through F Droid, that I already had installed and managed to update my VPN app. No change with the App Lounge launch so far, I wonder if someone from Murena can tell us something about it…
Hi Ricardo3,

Right on spot! :). I was given that tip before, but the screenshots made all the difference! It seems I verified only the font size and not the size of icons and screen. The option buttons were there, bellow the text, on App Lounge welcome screen, but invisible because of the magnification option. Problem solved, I really thank you for your help!
Please mark that as a solution for the thread so that other users see it.
There are new users reporting today the same “problem”.
If you can, please make a gitlab issue to report this so that it can be corrected.
In general point of view, Murena cannot check compatibility with all third party tools and modifications of the standard android interface, so it is best not to change keyboard, or icons, etc, and keep the configuration standard to avoid problems.
Murena is not a world company that can offer the level of service we are used to with the private-data-selling model. So let’s be consistent and keep the configuration standard and our expectations fair.
