App Lounge data security is not shown anymore

In the App-Lounge the information for data security is not shown in the overview of apps anymore. This is an essential feature to have a quick overview of data secure apps. Why has it been taken out??

it got (temporarily?) removed in the listing, but once in the app details view the privacy rating will show up - see Why was the 'no tracker' filter removed from the App Lounge? - #3 by tcecyk and further

Why you do not scan all apps with Exodus Privacy every 3 months, save that data in your own database and connect it again within App-Lounge?
Data security shown in the App lounge overview is a main selling criteria for e/OS.

You should look for a real solution for e/OS and murena customers who even paid for a smartphone with e/OS for data protection.

I’m not a murena employee. I’m sure they’ll figure out something to bring it back. As said, I too think they should host the api themselves if exodus allows them to host the dataset. Creating the dataset is not trivial.

Yeah that was a noticeable loss for me when App Lounge stopped providing Exodus data. Problem was they were spamming Exodus servers because every App Lounge page would make a recurring call for every app displayed.

So Exodus blacklisted /e/os and I can’t blame them. That was bad design on the part of /e/os. They should have realized you can’t spam someone else’s servers like that without repercussion. There’s a couple obvious solutions, either cache the data or only call for that data when an app is selected. That’s assuming they can patch things up with Exodus.
