App Lounge issue - Deyvce (2nd number app) won't load - takes me to Google Play

Hi,

I had Deyvce downloaded and working, then messages just stopped sending from there. So I uninstalled and tried to reinstall and now it takes me to Google Play or asked me to sign into Google on my fairphone 6 Murena?

Any tips on how to install without Google? Or/and App Lounge friendly internet 2nd number? (Everything is connected to that number, which is not a sim card, but internet number).

Regain your privacy! Adopt /e/OS the unGoogled mobile OS and online servicesphone

I see that the app has slightly complex billing:

So Deyvce might not like too much spoofing happening, on the other hand odd that it worked once. Might the fail have been connected to the billing cycle?

I might suggest uninstall the app, switch off all Advanced Privacy (as part of a test), reboot the phone and attempt another reinstall.

If still failing you might try to collect a log using Logcat Capture a debug information from /e/OS

To shorten the output try

adb logcat "*:E"

Thank you. I’ve managed to install and login again…and can make calls and receive texts, but can not reply to them…just says “not sent”…so I’ve reported the issue to Deyvce…although I fear it’s not an issue their side, as so far in 3 weeks I’ve not managed to get one app running on my new Fairphone 6/Murena lol. I had no idea it was going to be this difficult!

Many of us rely on the Privacy score given in App Lounge. You will see that you can follow a link within App Lounge to an analysis by Edit https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/en/
As a test perhaps try installing some apps with a 10/10 score.

There is a thought that App Lounge has unexpected problems especially with recent Fairphone that devs might like to check. Please consider adding fails to https://community.e.foundation/t/third-party-applications-that-are-not-working-with-e-os/73414 especially any app with privacy score > 7/10 perhaps.

Also Advanced Privacy takes some getting used to, perhaps think of it as Really advanced privacy. Maybe for many, only block Trackers is sufficient.

Thank you. The Exodus link is for behaviour health. :slightly_smiling_face:

I have logged an issue with Devyce and am waiting. I’ve also taken off the advance privacy to be able to use “essential” apps I am familiar with whilst I take on the transition - app by app to privacy.
