To create a fake account at g-devil, you don’t need a Sim card. My S4mini device is on WiFi only, doesn’t have a SIM card. To create a fake g-devil account you just insert a new e-mail address a (fake) name and a password for it. At this account you can, and it is advisable, put in another activly used mailadress for questions and messages from g-devil, i. e. in case, you have forgotten your g-devil password.
Normally I use the alternative - Say no to google & their apps, but that doesn’t work in all cases, i. e. for banking apps.
Really ? Perhaps it’s because I don’t understand english enough but I didn’t find how.
When I try to add a new profile, the setup wizard tells me : “To access the Play store, a valid Google account is needed” and asks me to log in.
I must confess that I have never used it, because I do not have Java on my system because it is too insecure. But I’ve heard that you can download it without g-account lapk’s.
And by the way, my english isn’t that great either
Just a word to thank @harvey186 for the link to the desktop downloader app Raccoon and to complete some of the comments about having a Google account.
I succeeded in using it with a a fake account as was suggested here and also in the UI of the Raccoon app. It works well in locating and downloading APKs of apps from the Playstore. It places them in a sub-directory of your home in Linux (I suppose in Windows it does something similar) and then indicates that you can side-load them using ADB. In fact, I found it just as easy to copy them across to my e-phone and then using the built-in APK-installer it works without difficulty.
Another advantage I found was that Raccoon downloads the separate files of split APKs, which seems to be a problem for the /e/ App store. Using the excellent open-source tool Split-APK-installer available on F-Droid I was able to update apps that I knew had newer versions because of APKgrabber, which has a good scanning tool for that purpose.
Hope this might help those having problems with Aurora store or Yalp.

Dummy Goolag Account for Aurora Store Users.
Please use those Credentials in Aurora store only & don’t use any VPN during usage, it might take account DOWN !!
Give feedback if it works.
Alright. Let see how long it works.
Here is how it works for some users:-
I already tested it on around 10 users out of which 7 works perfectly & 3 have same password wrong issues.
Wonderful work @harvey186 ! Just tried your account details with Aurora. First go left me with greyed Login button as you mentioned, but after closing and restarting it asked me for a new account login and your dummy account worked with no problem. I downloaded half a dozen app updates and one or two more just to see if it worked. The only one that failed was Kindle Lite for geographic reasons, but I won’t use my VPN to get it to avoid bringing down the account, as you mention.
Thanks again.
try it out, it will ask for a phone number to link to the account, thats the bit that i don’t like, worst case I can buy a throwaway pay as you go sim, but it would be nicer if I didnt have to do that
I tried it 2 days ago and again just now and do not get such an option, phone number is required. I tried to log in from the UK and France (via vpn), which country do you log in from? I dont think that will make a difference, but I can set my vpn to that country and try again
I am living in Germany. I will try to create some screen shots of an account setting up like I have done it. My OS is Windows 10 professional, but that shouldn’t make a difference. No, that was wrong, I did it with my Galaxy S5mini phone with Lineage 16.0 and Firefox
.
To demonstate the procedure I did it this time at my Galaxy S5 with /e/ and Firefox. I searched for www.goole.com, went to “Konto erstellen” (create an account), and here you see two screen shots, with phone number (optional!) and mail address (optional!).
Hope, that helps!
