Authentication failed

Hi there,

My situation:

  • Fairphone 5 with the latest e/os installed
  • Murena paid cloud subscription
  • Activated 2fa on the account and created an application password
  • I use this application password for logging into the Murena account on the phone

My thing:
The Accountmanager app on the phone keeps alerting me intermittently that “authentication failed (check login information)” (or something similar, I have Dutch settings)
I don’t know what it is going on about, since syncing files, calendar and contacts seems to work. Clicking the message takes me to the Account Manager, where no other message or alert is given.

My question:
Is there any way to figure out what the message is truly about & how to solve this?

I presume you are on version 2.9?

Yes, the phone came with an older version (don’t know which one), then it updated to 2.8 and now it is on 2.9.
Same behaviour for all versions of e/os.
