Benefit of /e/ over rooting phone and removing Google Apps?

Hello,

What is the benefit of using /e/ over rooting a phone and uninstalling Google Applications?

The android source code incl. a lot of google data collecting code. This code is removed from e.foundation.

So only removing gapps does have not much benefit

Yes /e/ try to kill every leaks, but the big point for /e/ compared to LineageOS is that /e/ offers things to replace what has been removed. (MicroG and the ecloud infrastructure for instance).
