Lately the default browser has started displaying some sites as text only, or not displaying then at all. Had to switch to Firefox. Why is this?

if you give an example one can probably tell why - assuming you’re on default settings so it’s easy to reproduce. (Sure it’s not a bandwidth issue caused by hide-my-ip in AP?)
Cromite/Bromite, what makes the default browser, is more opinionated than vanilla Firefox + uBlock even, see patches in those .txt files as to what gets disabled.
I don’t think I’m hiding my IP address, but it might be some kind of bandwidth issue. At the moment the sites that were not working earlier seem do display correctly again. Demo effect at work here…
