Bug report – Camera lens not detected / crash on video mode - Galaxy A72

Hi everyone,
The stock Camera app shows problems with lens detection and crashes in some modes:

  • Photo mode: The app does not detect Lens 4 (telephoto).

  • Video mode: When switching to Lens 3, the app crashes immediately and Lens 4 is not detected either.

The rest of the lenses (main and wide) work as expected.

Troubleshooting already attempted

  • Reinstalled the /e/OS ROM from scratch.

  • Cleared app cache and storage of the Camera app.

  • Rebooted and tested in safe mode — issue persists.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the default Camera app.

  2. In Photo mode, try switching between lenses.
    → Lens 4 is missing.

  3. In Video mode, select Lens 3.
    → The app crashes.

  4. Try to switch to Lens 4.
    → Not detected or selectable.

Expected behavior

All four lenses should be detected and usable for both photo and video modes without crashing.

Additional notes

  • Tested on fresh /e/OS 3.2 build (Android 15).

  • Clean flash installation, no GCam or third-party camera apps installed.

  • Camera permissions granted.
