hey everyone:) I’m using the default calendar on my fairphone 3 eOS smartphone.
the murena calendar works perfectly usually. but today, after opening the calendar on my desktop computer once (windows 10 with firefox), shortly afterwards in my phone almost all of the entries were deleted. but in the desktop somehow I can still see them. restarting the phone didn’t work. it’s also super weird because I can’t say which entries were deleted, they’re all from the same category (“Personal”), but some were delted and some not. so do you know any solution to this problem? I’m afraid to do any snychronization or anything because I’m no expert and I’m afraid the empty phone calendar will overwrite my desktop calendar and delete verything. or otherwise, can I export all of my calendar entries from the computer? thank you!!
First, can you log in to your Murena account on https://murena.io and switch to the calendar view? Are your calendar entries still visible?
If yes, I recommend to backup your calendars: You can hover over your calendar in the calendar list on the left. Then, a small pencil icon should appear. If you click on it, a modal appears with an “Export” button (“Exportieren” in German) so that you can save your calendar as an ics file. Next, you can check your advanced account settings on your phone. (I will use the German names as I assume that your native language is German):
Go to “Einstellungen” > “Konten”
Tap on your Murena account
Tap on “Mein Konto - Murena.io-Konto-Übersicht”
You should now see an overview with the available space on your Murena.io account. Tap on “Einstellungen - Zusätzliche Enstellungen für das Konto”
Now, the “Kontenverwalter” app should open, with tiles for your CalDAV accounts. One tile should be there for your Murena.io account.
Tap on the Murena.io account tile. Select the “Kalender” tab.
Do you see your “Persönlich” calendar here?
If not, what happens if you tap on the three dots in the upper right corner and select “Kalender neu erkennen”?
I do not know why, but my calendars were gone, and “Kalender neu erkennen” did not change anything. I had to delete the Murena account on my phone and add it again. Now everything seems ok - fingers crossed that this was only a one-time problem.
(When I activated the extended logging for the “Kontenverwalter” app before I re-added my Murena account, an exception was logged. Somehow, my saved account had been corrupt, but I do not really know why. I had tried to add my Murena account a second time as a normal WebDAV account several days ago when I was experimenting, so this may have been the reason?)
