Calendar app recommandations

Hi everybody!

I’m new here, just received my first phone on /e/os and learning to configure it and find the solutions to my needs. My biggest problem right now is: the built-in calendar app doesn’t fit at all. As for now I couldn’t find the right alternative.

My previous app was Business Calendar, which is catastrophic on confidentiality. The two main features I cannot seem to find in another app are:

  • a layered display for overlapping events, meaning two events happening at the same time are not tight rectangles with no writing like most apps do, but wider rectangles with writing and one being in front of the other (see the third row on https://www.appgenix-software.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/version-2.40.png) ;
  • and having a calendar filter at the bottom of the screen, to easily turn on and off the display of certain individual calendars (as seen on previous image) - I have many on display and cannot open the parameters everytime.

Do you know of any apps, either open source or at least with acceptable confidentiality, that would fit those requirements? Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your recommandations!

I like the filter on the bottom of Fossify but not the display of the events, which is a big no go for me.

aCalendar is a solid candidate for the display, I’m still unsure if I can get used to that new weekly view, which was my most-used view, but I’ll give it a try. Although the lack of a filter is disappointing. I guess maybe I’ll have to change my whole organization…

If anyone has other ideas, I’ll take them too!
