Calendar items not editable when created on other device?

Recently I noticed calendar items not being editable in certain circumstances. Seems like this is the case, if the item has been created on another device.

  • My “Murena-Account” is connected to my selfhosted Nextcloud server.
  • My calendars are synced with Thunderbird, Fairphone 4 (e/OS/ 4.1.1 official) and Volla Tablet (e/OS/ 4.1.1 official).
  • Addditionally I use to edit calendar items via Nextcloud WebUI.
  • There are no synchronisation problems - all expected items are on all devices.
  • Sttarting after the recent update to 4.1.1, I guess, when viewing the details of a calendar item, the “edit” symbol (pencil) ist missing, if the item has been created on one of my other devices.

For testing purposes I installed the “Fossify Calandar”. No problems here - I can edit every item, regardless of the origin.

So what is wrong? Does anybody observe similar problems? What could I have mistaken?

Is any additional information required?

Thanks a lot for any hints

Noticed the same after the update. I only use the stock calendar app on my phone, no other devices or web, and most events created before the update can not be edited anymore. I found one event I can edit, though, so it’s not consistent.

Same issue on FP3.
You can create a bug in Gitlab /e/ if it does not exist yet.
