I’m a pretty new user of e/os (4.2) on FairPhone4.
After getting to know the environment, I opened a Murena account some 2 days ago and began to migrate my data from google’s server (just confirmed the scope of what they can have on oneself, despite some precautionary measures throughout the years) (and the measures they do apply to prevent interoperability: cf. “Keep”, their “Notes” app …). But eventually I will prevail!
What I would like to report is about Calendar and its interoperation with the Murena 1GB cloud.
After getting used to the interface and different pages of the Murena workspace, and checking that my calendars were properly downloaded from google, as they indeed appear on the displayed calendar in the Murena space, I followed what this page says (and especially this section), but I didn’t get anything to be displayed on my phone, despite clicking on the round arrows, trying tap buttons to sync, resync and sync again !..
Where is the problem ?
Should I reload anything ?
Should I empty an app cache somewhere?
Even a restart doesn’t seem to have done anything…
Could anyone help (a screen shot is also woth a thousand words) ?
Thanks a lot in advance
Cheers for the great work of the community (I discovered Plexus and app rating in this free environment) !
Well, this is all that I did the time before I wrote.
And then later on in the evening I tried again with every involved app (Calendar, Murena Workspace, and Settings–>Accounts–>…)… And I don’t know at some stage, after several attempts, I clicked on something somewhere, where there was at the quarter top of an almost blank page a blue rectangle with the name of my Murena Workspace account, and I think it must have been the second time I saw it, I clicked right in the middle of this, and it opened a new page with the names of the different calendar files, and I must have clicked on different things, then went back of found out that there was movement in the Calendar app ! The info was being applied !
I tried a few times to go back to this page with the blue rectangle - I never saw it again !..
It was late, then came night.
In the morning I couldn’t find out any more how I did it!
At least, I can consider this specific topic of first calendar synchronizing solved!
P.S. Still reading very interesting things here and there and everywhere…
And there I found a way to this “blue rectangle” and the functionalities behind it, which I mentioned earlier on…
