Cannot update any App anymore after updating my FP6 to e/os 4

Because there was no reaction there I am opening a distinct topic here.

I really wonder whether I’m the only one with that issue.

Thanks for any help in advance

Have you already tried to reset the App Lounge app?

Settings > Apps > App Lounge > Storage and cache > Clear storage / Clear cache

Thanks for the advice - now I did but unfortunately it didn’t help.

But now I managed to read the end of the message “(location, OS version, …)”

Another hopefully helpful detail: When I touch an app to view the details the screen will go dark and only show a message “Your application was not found”.

Hi - thanks again for the input.

By now the problem is solved. What I did was

  • deleting the cache of the App Suite
  • rebooting the phone
  • deleting all data of the App Suite
  • rebooting the phone
  • activating the advanced privacy options
  • rebooting the phone
  • deactivating the advanced privacy options
  • rebooting the phone
  • trying to update the apps one at a time
  • trying to update the apps in bulk

Nothing seemed to work. After a good nights sleep the phone had updated one app. Then I started the bulk update again and all updates went through.

I hope that helps in case someone else runs into the same problem.

Read this and try to update in App Lounge :
had some sort of message like “update failed due to support rule”

In settings → allow updates on limited networks (not only wifi but also 4G)
→ updates started automatically

Apparently this setting went back to default with the eOS 4 update, which shouldn’t be the case because it is not what the user expect.

The message should also propose to download anyway…

Only issue so far with eOS 4 update

Glad tossed I’m not the onlynone qirh the same issue. Hoped the new update to V4 of E/Os would fix it automatically but it didn’t .

Could you be more specific in what button I need to turn off or on because I cannot find the setting only E/Os or App launches app to have updates also happen when I’m not on Wi-Fi.

My issue now also is that updates apps screen is loading forever. So I don’t even see then.apps which I can update

App Lounge settings (bottom right in app) → uncheck “Only on limited networks”

Thanks I did it, but the update tab is stil loading forever. So I cannot even see which apps have to be updates.

Installing apps also doesn’t work..

I downloaded Aurora store trough a APK file and manage to update trough that.

It still is weird that the basic app for e/Os is not working for a couple.of months now..
