Hello, I can’t set Firefox or other apps as the default PDF viewer to always use it. It always wants to use the MJ PDF viewer.

You can delete the stanard option that pdf should be opened in the app details of the PDF Viewer (technically you can do such a thing in any app, depends on what the app wants to open).

no i can’t find an Option, i searched in “standard Apps” and the settings of Firefox and the PDF viewer but nothing for declare to use it forever.. Only the PDF viewer i can use forever… when i tipped on Firefox it will directly open it with no chance to option it forever
Ehm doesn’t look intuitive, but you can pick Firefox. Then nexttime Firefox will be on top and you can choose ‘Immer’ and voila 
Okay, I managed to do it, however, the standard E/OS file manager doesn’t allow it; I had to use the Fossify file manager.

As far as I know that is Android system workflow not a filemanager related thing 
. As long as it worked

I solved this by opening a PDF in Firefox from there downloading it, when the download completed Firefox asked if I wanted to open it, after saying yes it offered Firefox to open just now or always. Now PDF files in the /e/ file manager opens PDF files in Firefox always.
