Change from 2.3 dev to stable on FP5

Hi! I am using a Fairphone 5 and am currently on e/OS 2.3 dev. I would like to switch to T stable, but am wondering how to do so. Do I need to go through the primary installation again, as described in the install manual (unlocking bootloader etc.), or is it possible to do this trough a local update?
I would prefer a way of upgrading that doesn’t wipe my phone. In the past, I haven’t had success with restoring backups, which meant installing everything manually again.

Since the FP5 has an anti-rollback feature I’m a bit hesitant, but since the security patches are the same, that shouldn’t be an issue. But would love some reassurance there :slight_smile:

I’m not sure but you might be able to update your phone from 2.3 dev to 2.4 stable when the release will come, using the ota updater.

Currently, it is not possible to switch from 2.3 dev to 2.3 stable as the phone will consider it as another rom.

Is your bootloader open or locked is THE question regarding possible dataloss…
