Closing the Bootloader after installation of e/OS on FP5

Hi! I am using e/OS (official build) on my FP5 and it works well so far, but I was not able to close the bootloader after installation.

I installed e/OS a couple of months back and I was sure the security patch of the newly installed official build from e/OS was newer than that of the Android version I had installed before. But when I wanted to close the bootloader, where was a fatal error screen. My phone didn’t brick and I was able to install e/OS again, but I was afraid to try to close the bootloader again. But now, a couple of months and many updates later, am I safe to close the bootloader? Or is this not how it works?

Hello @Mecklenburg, Welcome to the /e/ users forum.

Yes, it’s safe. I have an FP5 and locked the bootloader to install banking apps. All is well.

I flashed the newest image again just to be sure and everything is well, thank you. I was able to close the bootloader. I think command line is the better/safer option to install e/OS.

Yes, I used the web page install originally. Command line install worked.
