CMF 1: how do I get the widgets to display full width?

Hello All,

After the latest update widgets are half sized on the widget screen. They have half the width and obviously will not display correctly. Went through all the settings and removed and replaced all widgets to no avail. How do I get these to show properly?

To make them full size again, get a resizable widget. I used the Instant Gaming News app widget. First, remove all widgets. Then add only the Instant Gaming one and long press the widget to make the resize option appear. Drag it to the maximum size and exit the resizing menu so it fills the whole page.

Now remove that widget and add the ones you actually want. Reboot your device to make them all show up, because for some reason only one will appear before rebooting.

A resizeable widget sounds a good idea @Rafzick but Bliss launcher widgets should not look as your image @Woodhouse .

When I go to add Advanced Privacy widget in Bliss it is advertised as, no choices, only 1 available 4x4 widget. So all sizing is defined by the regular “icon grid dimensions”. Same “size by icon” applies to all widgets.

Are you using the default Bliss launcher when you see this narrow format?

Is it the case that all widgets appear half the “advertised” width?

Hey,

Just to clarify: the Advanced Privacy widget itself cannot be resized. There is only one 4x4 option and it doesn’t support manual resizing.

What fixed it for me was resizing a different widget first, specifically the Instant Gaming News app widget. That widget does allow resizing after placing it on the home screen. After I resized that one, the launcher layout seemed to recalibrate, and all widgets were displayed correctly afterward.

I then removed the Instant Gaming News widget and added the Advanced Privacy widget again. It still isn’t resizable, but after the layout refresh, it appeared at the correct size.

I also restarted the launcher once after adding the other widgets, just to make sure everything was applied properly.

So to be clear: you cannot resize the Advanced Privacy widget directly. If it appears incorrectly sized, try resizing another widget first, then remove and re-add the Advanced Privacy widget.

Hope that clears it up.

After the latest update is it fixed. What is not fixed is the occasional screen freeze at unlock that has been plaguing this device since the beginning.

not related but is there a way to get widgets on the apps screen instead of the separate side widgets screen?

Nope not possible by design.

hmm, is there a place where I can put in a feedback or suggestion for the devs?
