Compatible devices - specifications overview

I built a compatibility mobile list with some specifications.
Hope it will help to choose a model which fit your wishes (screen size, battery and so on).
( I cannot post this table on /e/ website this editor doesnt allow tables. )

Compatibility list

If you want me to add new columns or see any mistake, please drop a comment.
If you have any table template with filtering and sorting, please share

hi there, iā€™d add also year of release, a price range (budget, medium, high could be enough i think, or <200e, 200-400e, 400e+) and a column that shows protection level: waterproof, IP65 and so on. also dualsim could be useful but iā€™m not sure.

if possible, iā€™d also make the table sortable and add a ā€œlast updated atā€ line somewhere

anyway, very good work, thanks a lot

Well, if someone else expect the same then iā€™ll do (i need several votes because thatā€™s a huge job  )

Thanks, you might add FP2.

@guly i added protection, dual-SIM, NFC and year release
@ff2u done, sorry for my mistake

Itā€™s already a huge job to build such synthesis so iā€™ll manage later for ā€˜last updatedā€™ and ā€˜priceā€™ field
Feel free to help for pricing :relaxed:

Soon, i plan to improve this table with sorting and filters

huge work man, really.
btw, about ā€œlast updateā€, i meant a whole page last update not a line foreach phone.
i think it could be useful to see if the table itself is almost up2date or itā€™s 3 years old (hoply, you support that page forever, but who knowsā€¦)

Great list and good work! :ok_hand:
And thank you very much for adding FP2! If you allow me to give some updated information related to the device: FP2 has no NFC, but Dual SIM. Current CAMs have 5MP and 12MP. Price is 399 at the vendorā€™s shop.

@ff2u > fixed for Fair Phone 2

Also, i noticed gitlab wiki was updated by @rhunault
There is 5 new devices (good job)

So i updated my list :star_struck:
compatibility list

Now you can sort and filter

Good work man!!!
This is great.
I suggest you make the camera column searchable, and maybe make the list look a little better, but overall, great work, man!!!
This is awesome! :+1::ok_hand::clap::grin:

Camera Column is already searchable :sunglasses:
(If itā€™s about a drop-down menu, it sounds difficult to sort as there is front/back cameras)

About visual style, yes iā€™m not an artist  All CSS stylesheets are welcome

I updated my list with 5 new models

Please feedback if there is any irrelevant or missing information :relieved:

Hi @Superman, Oneplus 5 / cheesebruger back cameras are 16 MP / 20 MP, and not as in your list actually stated 16 / 16.

What I am missing most in your list is the indication of which firmware /e/ is able to support. My cheeseburger with LineageOS 9 is at firmware 9.0.4 right now and thatā€™s why there is no compatible version of /e/ at the time being. I feel downgrading firmware is somewhat risky and so it would be very helpful if your list could provide said information, especially because it is not available on /e/s own pages.

fixed, thanks.

As all our devices are anyway in the same statut about firmwares, itā€™s not relevant to show which firmware is supported by /e/

  • Nougat : All
  • Oreo : All
  • Pie : None

@Superman you should add a way to tell best value in price range (for example Iā€™d say that Pocophone is definitely best value in the $370-400 range)
This way it is definitely easier to tell which phone is the best value.
Each phone should be graded on a points system, 5 stars for each criteriaā€¦
ā€“processor
ā€“screen size
ā€“nfc
ā€“Bluetooth version
and so onā€¦

I understand but i donā€™t have a wish to maintain reliable values for this column
Already iā€™m thinking about to remove ā€˜priceā€™ column because itā€™s always changing.

:grin: Yes I get it. Maybe you could specify a date that the phone was a certain price, i.e. 4.16.19 Pocophone price= $370.
A range would be totally acceptableā€¦ I just wish for a taste or overview of how expensive the phones are!

Images for cheseburger are here: https://images.ecloud.global/dev/cheeseburger/
The most recent one as of today is ā€˜e-0.5-n-201904177346-dev-cheeseburger.zipā€™

Doesnā€™t the ā€œnā€ in the name indicate, that this is a Nougat version?? There is no version with an ā€œoā€ for Oreo. Thatā€™s why I thought, that /e/ supports some devices only with rather old firmware versions and the absence of this information in your list might be misleading.
