There is currently a “consultation process” on Digital ID being appropriated to all UK Residents.
This should be given a resounding “NO”.

If you live in the UK, go to this site and make it clear you disapprove of its introduction. As usual Governments come up with an excuse/good idea, claiming such a move is beneficial to reduce bureaucracy, when in reality it is making it even more bureaucratic, so if your Digital ID gets stolen it will be blocked from use. How will that help a disaffiliated citizen who can then no longer access essential services such as medical needs?
I stated that if a certain fascist were alive today they would be applauding this move and would undermine what service men and women were fighting against in the second world war. Digital ID is fascism by stealth under the guise of “democracy” (whatever that is).

The current Labour Government is trying to continue what the Conservatives started in 2023, who had also started a similar consultation which I missed.

Thanks for providing the link. I will be responding to this. I signed the public petition previously. However, I suggest that people using the online method of responding check the privacy policy and make sure that they are happy with the data gathering aspect of this. There are 2 other ways of responding, by email or by letter.
