Default Mail app: Can't create new email accounts

My phone is a murena teracube_2e.
Android-Version is 12.
/e/os Version is 3.0.4-s-20250711508139-official-emerald.

If I’m trying to use the default mail app on my phone, which
is foundation.e.mail Version 6.711-2, I got a screen with a welcome
message, saying that I can create a email account, but there is no
button to do this.
(The button below on the screenshot is to import accounts from an existing file.)

Something is not as expected, because I see in a lot of other topics
that people are using the mail app. But I don’ know how to do this.

My workaround is to install K9 Mail app, which works pretty well.
But I still wonder why the default mail app does not work on my phone.

Looks this way for me in Dark mode on 3.0.4-a15-20250713508366-community-FP3 …

If the Next button is not there for you, try to make the Font size smaller in Settings - Display, or just tap on the right edge of the screen where the button got pushed out of the display real estate into invisibility (bad UI design), the button still works for me with quite large font sizes even if it can’t be seen anymore.

Next up should be a prompt for the e-mail address, once you hit the button successfully.

Thank you very much for the hint.
Now it works.

were you on default-font size @Volker57 with your teracube_2e?

in any case, should be considered a bug. Backlog hasn’t got it yet, but it was touched up on before in another context that backfired now?

one solution is to put them above each other to accomondate long language strings as “Einstellungen importieren” - and bigger font sizes

My Font-Size is big. (Schriftgröße groß).
