Developper options crashes : impossible to enable USB debug

Hello,

I am unable to activate USB debug on my phone. Situation is almost exactly as in this topic : Pixel 7 PIN issue and Developer Options

I want to rollback to Google ROM and re-install /e/ OS, bootloader is unlocked, but USB debug isn’t on and the Settings app crashes when I try to open “Developper options”. Is there any other way to enable USB debug ? Or to force a flash of Google ROM ?

The original cause in the linked case seems to have been Factory Reset Protection. Threads on the subject have hashtag frp. Is it your case that a Google accounts exists on the phone from before your /e/OS install?

Do you have working Fastboot?

Sometimes fastboot commands may work without USB debugging. Seems this was the route attempted in the linked thread.

Thanks for your answer ! I just noticed that fastboot works (I first used a faulty cable). So I am able to flash a new image !! I will report if I am able to go to the end of the process.

Thanks again

I was able to revert to android 16, then remove lock code and google account, then reverted to android 15 and got /e/ OS installed and fully functionnal! Made my day.

Thanks again
