Happy new /e/os user on a FF6, I tried to install an app for MDM (at work). I had installed and opened it but the process failed at a point and had to cancel. But now the icon of the app is not appearing anymore, it’s not showing in the app list in /e/ settings… but when I go in AppLounge, it shows it’s installed but nothing happen when I click on “open”… I tried to find info in this forum so for instance I cleared the content of the PWA player (not really knowing what it is), I restarted the phone, etc… but it seems i’m really stuck.
Maybe name your app … but for instance when searching the forum if your app is trying to Set MDM authority to MS Intune you will find hits for that … especially that MS seems to actively disregard FOSS solutions.
Try what? Even with everything off, I cannot see the app on the screen and it’s not in the list of apps under settings. And I cannot “open” it from the AppLounge which says I already have it.
Yes, it’s an app for MDM, i.e. to install work related apps (email etc.) in a secured way.
I’m grasping at straws here, but I’m wondering what would happen if you followed this advice:
to ‘remove’ the app. Although you have to know the package name to remove it. Also, this doesn’t really uninstall an app, it just hides it. I don’t know how the app lounge would respond. I.e. would the app lounge let you try to reinstall the app? If yes, what would happen because the app isn’t really uninstalled using the above method?
Maybe non default apps can really be removed another way.
I’d be surprised if somebody else can’t offer any better suggestions.

I don’t see it in there… but … I see it in the list of all apps under “advanced privacy”… and from there we cannot access the storage and cache.
This does not work for me because when I access the app in the App Lounge and I click on “open”, nothing happens (the app does not open).
That might be the issue indeed…
Well, ideally I would like to use it, so that I can install the apps allowing me to access work emails and other professional apps managed by Omnissa Intelligent Hub.
And if this is not possible on /e/OS, then yes I guess it’s better to get rid of it.
Many thanks for this. I can find the app using the Package Manager. It says it’s “disabled”… but I don’t know how to undisabling it… so I uninstalled it from there (after trying to clear cache and storage, as well as force to quit, but to no consequence). This allowed me to re-install it from the App Lounge…
Now the icons is back and I can open it… Will see whether I check with my employer if there is a way to use this on /e/OS.
