I’m new to e/OS. I am triying to log in to the Disney Plus App but I always get a pop up telling me my acces to the app is restricted and i should verify my age throug my Google account.
In the Browser on this phone its no problem, on my laptop and my old phone it also works.
I tried to log in to the APP lounge with my Google account, tried age verification on Google.com which told me I dont need to verify my age because Im legal, tried some settings in the microG Companion, uninstalled the app, downloaded it again and deleted the apps cache.
Is there anything else I can try or does it not work at all?
Thank you so much for your contributions. I’m new to e/OS as well. I have a Fairphone 6 with Murena v.4. I have the same problem when I try to log in via App and unfortunately it doesn’t work via mobile browser either. When I reach the log in page and give in my credentials, the website leads me to a page where Disney invites me to download the App from Play store. Do you know if there is a way to make it work at least on the browser? I use Murena default browser.
Go to Settings => System => App Compatibility => Google Accounts => Add a Google Account. Then add your Google account (you can create a temporary account just for this purpose)
In App Lounge or Aurora Store: Sign out and sign back in with the same Google account.
Have you tried getting that disney app from any depository like F-Droid or APK? I got netflix from there which worked without google store involved directly or via proxy. Just a thought.
Well, I don’t think one can get Disney+ from F-Droid, as it’s a proprietary app. But both Aurora and AppLounge get the same result since the latest Disney+ update. (No issue with Netflix for now).
Certainly they have raised the control level of Play Integrity to “Strong”.
Otherwise, to connect via the browser, you would need to emulate a Desktop User Agent: If the web player fails to load in mobile view, try enable “Desktop Site” in your browser settings. Disney+ sometimes denies mobile browser access when it detects an unsupported Android or Linux user agent.
Just to second above: Installen on OEM Murena Fairphone 6 through Aurora Store or App Lounge, both logged in with Google Account, but app still fails to verify account. Even with a system wide login on App Lounge this fails. If installed directly from playstore the app at least lets you enter the account management, but no accounts are visible there.
