Does /e/OS support multiple main cameras?

Hello!

I am very new to /e/OS and consider switching to it.

Currently I have a Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro Zoom Edition. The phone has a front and main camera, a wide angle camera, a zoom camera (as the name suggests) and a depth sensor.

Is it possible, next to the main and front camera, which I assume that they work, to use the zoom and wide angle camera?
Or is there at least a possibility with a different app or workaround to use them?

I am also considering to buy a OnePlus 13 for a hardware upgrade as it supports /e/OS. Is the front, main, zoom and wide angle camera supported on this device? Or at least with some workarounds? Without this, upgrading to a OnePlus and switching to /e/OS would not really make sense…

I would be glad for any help!

Best,
Florian

You have the option to switch between the cameras in the default app. The viewfinder contains a lens button. On my Poco F6, the main cameras also include the ultra-wide.

Hello @avalon666 ,

thanks for your reply!

Good to know that, I hope this is also the case for the OnePlus 13…

Camera 3 and 4 bring an error message but the app continues to work without a crash. The phone has only two cameras.

If necessary, you can also use another camera app. The Google Cams work without any problems. Even if you turn off the Internet.

Thanks for the feedback!

I read much about it and I think that’s because the camera HAL of the manufacturer only shows the main and front camera (restrictions) and Open Camera is only using the provided cameras.

But I also think the GCAM ports could work on the OnePlus 13 with /e/OS (I read especially the “AGC9.2.14_V14.0” mod from the modder BigKaKa could work together with the OnePlus 12 config).

But I fear I can only test that after buying the OnePlus 13…
