Downgrade required before upgrade? fajita 6t

I’d like to install eOS on a oneplus 6t fajita running lineageOs with android 13. The docs say this:

Before following these instructions please ensure that the device is on the latest Android 11 firmware.

If your device is currently using a newer or older version than the required version, please upgrade or downgrade to the required version before proceeding with your /e/OS installation.

The required version is Android 11 , which may be lower than the /e/OS version you are about to install - this is not an error! If there are multiple updates of that version (e.g. security updates), make sure to use the latest!

If you need to upgrade or downgrade your device, please search online for guides. We are unable to provide specific instructions here and on our support platforms.

So… I am not sure how to proceed. Can I get some advice? Basically:

  • Do I really need to first downgrade to stock android 11?
  • (If so) Where can I download the stock rom with android 11?
    • Are there guides on this?
    • Do I also need to install the stock recovery as part of the downgrade process?
    • Any gotchas to avoid?

The Lineage install page Install LineageOS on fajita | LineageOS Wiki has the same instruction. So if Lineage was correctly installed at that time and has been running with no faults then you can be fairly confident that you have the correct firmware. Odd errors in LineageOS persisting through all updates might indicate the warning was not fully followed originally

So you can follow the install page to upgrade a13 to a15.

Same device and question here, 6T fajita with the latest Lineage 22.2 update and A15.

Is it safe to install e/OS 3.6, also A15? Do I need to take into account something else?
