seems the vulture has a pretty good overview of available options

who is the vulture ?

the self reference the author used… and apparently the logo of the register

If, like this vulture, you are a cheapskate prefer to use viable older hardware

e os 3.0 … more private? Hmmm, after i installed the update it is not possible anymore to activate the VPN. Does anybody have any advice?

Thank you for pointing the logo, I didn’t saw it before

vulture or turkey?

anyway, this is totally off-topic

The Register (biting the hand that feeds IT). Their logo is a drawing of a vulture. The Register is based in the UK and they primarily report on things related to information technology. They’ve always been enthusiastically in favor of open source.

I’ve been reading articles at The Register since their inception in the mid 1990’s (yeah I’m old). I don’t actually visit the site regularly to read their online rag, but have clicked into a lot of their articles over the years. At times I’ve got stuck there reading their other articles.

Their style of reporting is pretty basement and their information is not the most reliable. It’s riddled with opinion and often lacks any real citation. Though it’s accurate enough and most of the time informative and amusing to read. Just don’t bank on anything they say.
