I want to use my old phone to monitor my dads blood sugar and dexicom follow insists on having locations right.
I just did a factory reset of my old phone and I has placed me in Samoa for some reason. I can not seem to change that location.
I tried to change the timezone in the clock app but now it just tells me I am four hours ahead of my home in Samoa.
How do I fix this.
BTW I am not using a sim

Have you looked at advanced privacy, you location setting is it set to fake?
nope. not set to fake. when I did the factory reset I did not bother with changing the timezone during the initial setup. I just ended up doing the reset all over again and that fixed it.
It would be nice to know how to change it after the fact though? what if I suddenly move to Samoa now? will I have to do another factory reset or can I change my home location somehow?
Settings/System/Date and time (this is the way it looks in FP4 with italian eOS v. 3.0.4).
You can set time zone under Date and time. Just go to settings and search Time Zone, then turn Set Automatically to OFF and adjust it, also insure your are on WiFi that may help.
something must have screwed up that first reset because that is the first thing I tried and the reason I did not bother with it during the setup… because I thought I would just do that. However when I went to try I was able to turn off “used network provided time zone” but the time zone shown below that was greyed out and I could not do anything to it. This time of course it seems to be fine with it.
