eBay app login not possible “invalid request”

Hi,

I’m having the same issue described in this thread: Ebay login not possible “invalid request” - Using /e/OS / Applications - /e/OS community

I’ve gone into advanced privacy and:

  • Checked I’m using my real IP address
  • Switched off app tracker controls globally
  • Checked I’m using my real location

However I’m still getting the Invalid Request message when trying to log in to the app. I can still log in via the DuckDuckGo browser. Earlier today I did a fresh install of /e/OS 2.6.3 on the FP4 and I was getting the same issue with eBay on the previous install.

Same here, eBay nit working. What I did is create a light-app via Hermit (Hermit actually makes an app out of websites, really a cool app). That works.

Thank you - I hadn’t heard of Hermit. This gets me access to eBay on my phone.

I installed newest ebay App this morning and could use the search function again… maybe login is now also possible (didn’t test it)

@ronnz98 thank you for the prompt to revisit this.

I updated to /e/OS version 2.7 a few days ago and downloaded the eBay app a few minutes ago from the App Lounge. I was able to log in and search. I’ve not tested buying anything but being able to log in seems promising!
