Hi,
I have been using the default calendar app (Etar) for about 2 years now and here is my feedback and frustrations.
- Uniformize the behaviour when a day is clicked: Currently the behaviour is inconsistent:
- From the Weekly view: when a day is clicked (the column name), the Daily view opens.
- From the Monthly view: when a day is clicked, the Agenda view opens.
- Although it looks more natural to me that the Day view always opens when a day is clicked, we could imagine that this could be a setting to be chosen by the user.
- Set a default start time in the settings: currently, the settings allow to choose the default event duration but not the default start time (that always starts at 0:00).
- I noticed a frequent bug in which the Agenda view flickers, usually after an event is added. i.e. the view starts to slide to another date, and immediately goes back to the original one, infinitely. The other buttons like the + continue to work properly, but the “Today” button does not, as the display is already flickering. Putting the app in background for a while usually fixes the view. But I don’t manage to write precise reproduction steps. If someone noticed that bug, I would appreciate some help to elaborate reproduction steps. This is a long date bug.
Any Etar contributor in the place to discuss about these? ![]()
