Hello, I can install the Linux terminal app if I manually enable Notifications in the App settings, but cannot start the service because “Non-protected VMs are not supported on this device.”
Device: Fairphone 6 /e/OS version: 3.3-a15-20251210556408-official-FP6
Is this a hardware limitation of the Fairphone 6’s processor, or has experimental Linux VM support (AVF) not yet been implemented in /e/OS?
the VM images that are loaded need to be signed.. I guess by the publisher, that is murena?
in this thread there are some links and cues - but I myself was inconclusive about it.
Thank you for your reply. For my use, Termux works, but hardware virtualization would be great. The Linux VM runs well on my Pixel 8 with GrapheneOS (2026011300), so this seems to be related to the signing requirements you mentioned rather than a hardware limitation.
