I tried the current e/OS installer with the Moto G7 Power. All the steps went well, but connection the phone failed at the end of the process. ADB was mentioned on the error notice. I had tried installing with Microsoft Edge and with Google Chrome; no success though.
I am not a developer and I’m feeling my way with this task that I would like to achieve.
Is there an e/OS installer that works easily with the Moto G7 Power? Thanks.
Iain - thanks for your response. I’m discovering that I would need to be a competent developer to be able to install e/OS on a used Android phone. I started out as a PC user when computers were either Tower or Desktop PCs. I think I need to just keep buying e/OS phones from Murena.
Regards
Andrew
The install page looks intimidating perhaps because of many unfamiliar terms. It is possible to make a start on understanding the Install page without actually disrupting your phone. If you feel like starting to have a go please don’t hesitate to ask about anything that doesn’t make sense.

Hi Iain - many thanks for your response. I did read through the install page, but it seemed to me that there are likely to be a number of opportunities to let me brick my Windows laptop or the Moto G7 Power. I think it’s best that I pass the phone on to someone who can use it as it is.
Thanks meantime.

Installing eOS will not brick your PC or even the phone. The phone can be recovered if there were issues.
The trick to installing eOS (or Lineage) is to set up your commands in advance with a text editor and then copy and paste them into the terminal window.
