Since the latest updates on 3.7.3 No phone Calls possible. No IMEI visible, No Lycamobile services available. Internet works, but no phone calls. Reinstalled e/os from your website, factory reset done. All is done, but it does not work. Need help.
does fastboot (vol down + power on) still show correct IMEI?
there was an IMEI issue on the FP6 almost a year ago (in 3.1.1). You could post to the latest build-feedback thread to maybe find another FP4 user with that issue.
how do you test lycamobile services, with ussd codes?
I have a similar problem with my FP4, since the update. Sometimes I can make calls, but usually the phone goes to a screen that says “call ended” and I have to reboot to make a call. I don’t know how to fix it either.
my bad, it isn’t put to the screen, you’d need to invoke the cli while on usb and in fb mode to check - fastboot getvar all 2>&1 | grep -i imei - but just if that is an easy goto for you. I’d really post to one of the feedback threads to find more affected users
If i try to start a call, then i get the message no services available. I tried the sim card at the same location with fairphone 3 with e/os 3.7.2 and the sim card works. This is definitly a e/os 3.7.3 problem. I will try to get your result tomorrow.
No Imei found with your command. If I delete grep, then I got results, but no imei.
benutzer1@pc2:~$ fastboot getvar all 2>&1 | grep -i imei
benutzer1@pc2:~$ fastboot getvar all 2>&1
(bootloader) parallel-download-flash:yes

I probably have the same issue on my new Fairphone 6 with e/os 3.7.3 (Sunrise / Switzerland). Most of the time I can’t receive calls or SMS. If I send an SMS i looks like its working but they’re never sent. If I make a call it seems to call but there is no sound and no error message. Everything works again for some time if I switch flight mode on and off.
Have you tried SMS? Also sending SMS to yourself?
Do the problems stay if you switch on and off flight mode?
Its a super annoying issue keeping me from recommending the phone.
Sunrise has come up in similar contexts before
Sunrise, three mentions here Wifi calling not working, e OS 3.5 on FP6 - #45 by aibd.
A further list of things to try to harmonise APN settings: No more mobile data - #8 by aibd
A little further amateur Sunrise research Wifi calling not working, e OS 3.5 on FP6 - #60 by aibd
If you Use Settings >
Search APN do you find references to Lycamobile? IMEI is expected to appear in this Lycamobile view.
your photo not showing bootloader or baseband version worries me, or did you censor that part? I don’t think that is normal for the FP4, unless I’m mistaken.
I’d reflash stockrom (pay attention to SPL dates in terms of relocking).
I found another LycaMobile post with little replies, but imo that isn’t the main issue.
APN - All settings are referenced to Lycamobile including username and password.
No I did not censor anything. That is what it displayed. He is showing LycaMobile as service provider. Phone Number unknown, No phone calls possible, no USSD Codes possible. Internet works. IMEI is not shown as well.
I reflashed everything with the e/os website installer.
stockrom flash, not /e/OS - https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/18896094650513-How-to-manually-install-Android-on-your-Fairphone
you want the version strings to show in fastboot
You can use a A15 image (that in this case, is behind in its SPL date), just do not relock until being again on /e/OS 3.7.3 or higher
Did the stock rom update. Tried with the stock rom google. Phone Calls are working.
Reinstalled e/os from website installer und it seems now to work. Will testit and let you know if there are further problems.
great! did the fastboot version strings come back? it must’ve been a partial flash prior
No, the same issue. Same picture as before.
