Fairphone 4 won't start

So my Fairphone 4 running /e/OS 2.8 has been having some issues lately - it suddenly shut down about two times and I was only able to restart it after charging it for some hours. I thought it was a battery issue so I bought a new battery, but today with the new battery it suddenly shut down again and now it won’t turn on at all. I’ve tried both batteries, taken the battery out for a long time and so on, no success.

Is there anything else I can try?

I am thinking about the charging module.

You can consider buying

  • a brand new one on the fairphone web site
  • a second hand one on fairphone community forum

But if I can’t start the phone even with a charged battery, can the charging module be the issue?

how did you charge them ?

Well the battery was pretty well charged (more than 50%) when the phone shut down.

And before it shut down I was able to charge them normally.

the sundden death of the motherboard is well known on FP3 (i have encountred that personnally)

I’ve contacted Murena Helpdesk on March 22 but haven’t gotten a reply yet.
