Update: I managed to use a cached version of the download page and as a result got the previous version which had the old version. Stupidly I did not check the version properly.
Hope this doesn’t catch anyone else out.
Suggestion: fastboot flashing get_unlock_ability should be explicitely mentioned as a step within the install process on the official guide which it is currenlty not.
After installing the new Fairphone 5 A15 e/os image MG-e-3.2-a15-20251022539003-official-FP5.zip from /e/OS official FP5 download my device has corrupted upon relocking. I explicitely held out until the latest release swhich stated december Android security patch to avoid this issue (pictured).
The device was switched to e/os and left unlocked from early december to prevent a new patch being installed in the meantime with the new image being downloade and installed 22-12-2025 so in theory the patches should have matched.
Despite this, the bootloader is now locked and won’t boot. Are there any know methods to fix this and should the documentation see an update to reflect this?
Thanks in advance.
