Device:
-
Fairphone 6
-
/e/OS 3.7.3-a15
-
Android 15
Car:
-
Mitsubishi Space Star (around 2018 model year)
-
Original Mitsubishi Bluetooth hands-free system
Summary:
Outgoing Bluetooth calls work correctly, but incoming calls are usually not forwarded to the car hands-free system.
Steps to reproduce:
-
Pair Fairphone 6 with Mitsubishi hands-free system.
-
Enable phone calls, media audio, and contacts access.
-
Wait for Bluetooth connection.
-
Receive an incoming phone call.
Current behavior:
-
The phone rings.
-
The Mitsubishi system does not react.
-
The radio continues playing normally.
-
No incoming call is shown on the car display.
-
Answering the call on the phone keeps audio on the phone.
-
Selecting audio output does not switch audio to the car.
-
Outgoing calls initiated from the car work correctly.
Expected behavior:
-
Incoming calls should be displayed on the Mitsubishi system.
-
The radio should mute.
-
Audio should be routed through the hands-free system.
Additional testing:
-
Contact synchronization works correctly.
-
Outgoing calls work correctly.
-
Bluetooth headset SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5X works correctly for incoming and outgoing calls.
-
Samsung Galaxy A34 works correctly with the same Mitsubishi vehicle.
-
Fairphone 3 with /e/OS worked correctly with the same Mitsubishi vehicle.
-
Bluetooth settings were reset.
-
Device was unpaired and paired again.
-
AVRCP versions 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 were tested without improvement.
-
WLAN calling is disabled.
-
Problem occurred repeatedly; incoming calls worked only twice during testing.
Conclusion:
The issue appears to be a compatibility problem between Fairphone 6 (/e/OS 3.7.3 Android 15) and the Mitsubishi Bluetooth hands-free implementation.
