Fairphone 6 with Murena, Fairphone camera app (com.fps.camera) selfie filter not doing anything

Hi,

I have a brand new Fairphone 6 I received last week from the Murena shop, and so far I am very glad, it is really great !

I have a minor issue with the camera. I think I am using the Fairphone camera app, since the name is com.fps.camera. In selfie mode, there is an icon at the bottom left corner of the photo zone which looks like a “smooth skin” or “beautification” icon, which on my previous phone was used to indeed make the skin look “smoother” (and even a little bit plastic if set to 100% :joy: ) and if set to a low level was making us look better by reducing the wrinkles and other defaults. On the com.fps.camera, this filter seems to be doing absolutely nothing, I cannot see any difference on the result between 0 and 100.

Is it a known bug ? I have not found any information about this issue. Should I open a bug report ? I am aware the Fairphone strong suit is not taking photos, and that the current Fairphone 6 on /e/OS owners may not be the one that are the most concerned by taking selfies with filters ^^ And of course, this is not a critical problem at all, the phone and camera is working well without this filter.

It’s just that as a previous owner of an Asian brand of smartphone, which offers a lot of filters in the selfie mode (smooth skin, big eyes, make up, and so on) I was just a bit disappointed to find out that this filter is doing nothing after discovering it existence xD

Thanks for your attention !
