Just a few questions about my new Fairphone 6, which came with preinstalled official /e/OS from Fairphone: Is support available from Murena for phones from Fairphone providing they’re sold with /e/OS?
Why do I ask? Well, I have a problem similar to the one detailed in this topic. I skipped adding my Murena account, which I’ve been using with my old phone, and now am unable to login to my account on the Fairphone 6 although I’m still able to use it on the old device for emails and photos etc. For some reason it simply doesn’t work. I get notified, for example:
“Configuration detection
Couldn’t find CalDAV or CARDAV service.
Username (email address)/
password wrong?”
If any help can be given with this I should be most grateful as I naturally don’t wish to reset the phone just to rerun the installation wizard since I’ve already set up several apps.
Thanks.
Login fails everywhere:

Fails with “Couldn’t find CaldAV or CardAV” etc.
In Settings Accounts

fails with same notification as above
Mail account says Configuration Found for email address user@murena.io but on entering password results in “Checking incoming server settings failed! Authentication error”
Cannot login in the Browser either to email. It results in “Invalid username or password.”
However both are correct because I use them on my computer and can login OK.
So I’m stuck behind the GUI options on the display, which don’t work. My options seem to be:
Contact the Murena help desk if something can be done at their end. I assume that having purchased the device with /e/OS from Freephone means help would be available.
Do a Factory Reset in order to run the initial setup wizard to sync with my account.
Perhaps try and run the setup wizard either via adb from my computer or from a terminal in the device itself, which I suppose would have to be done as root. I’ll look into this possibility.
I will probably opt for the second option, which is the easiest, as I’ve read that the help desk is pretty busy and can take some time to reply. Regarding the third option, I wonder what the command would be to trigger the setup wizard without resorting to a factory reset.
Thanks aibd for your reply.
I opted to back up one or two applications, cancel the bank app and then do a factory reset and rerun the setup wizard. To my surprise it failed a few times to accept my login and password but it did in the end so I’m glad to say I’m back in business.
So problem solved and all is fine and dandy but it would’ve been nice if the account could’ve been restored without resorting to a factory reset.
