I install 2 days before on a brand new CMF 1 (no update of Nothing phone before install).
It’s working pretty well but got (as other) some trouble :
- oversatured color (very), temporary solution found but reset at restart
- freeze of the phone since today when using finger scanner (so i have to reset and got this horrible color again)
- font size is not the same everywhere (even when check all app and system settings)
- boursobank app don’t start with network error message
I’m following /e/os silently for 3 years and it’s my first installation. I buy the CMF expressly for that cause it’s officialy supported.
Trouble are minor, the only thing that makes me hesite to go back to “standard” phone (with app tracker protection like Duckduck go) is that even if i really understand it’s developped by a small team, it’s free, open source, i see bugs like oversatured color that are not resolve 6 month after.
Don’t misunderstand me, it’s not criticism, and i’m really gratfull for the job done. But for me transition to /e/os is on my all day phone. So, considering the only way hi can help is to report bug, is it better to go back and wait the project to be more stable ?
At all, i’m realy appy to migrate on /E/os
