Thanks for the explanation. My Fairphone 6 is my everyday phone, so I really need it to be working properly. And 3.0.4 has been really stable and great battery life.

Iâd like to ask if it is safe to activate the test channel in developer options and update from the official 3.1.1 to the test channelâs 3.1.4 (non-beta, from 15 sep) that shows there.
I never saw the 3.1.4 when insisting in the refresh button. I only saw it when I activated the âtest channelâ in developer options. Is it safe to install 3.1.4 (not the beta) from this channel or should I wait for it to show up in the regular channel? Iâm anxious because Iâm with no mobile network at all (only wifi works)âŚ
It is safe. That is how you will be able to test new builds. Any issues you notice in the new test builds you can report on the channel.

Thank you all for your help. My phone is already running 3.1.4 from the test channel and the mobile network is fully working.

Problem: Phone was working fine before updating to 3.1.1 yesterday, now outward facing camera does not work. When running Camera app no image appears (screen is black), then a little error bubble saying âSerious camera errorâ appears for a few seconds. Trying a different camera app doesnât help. Inward âselfieâ camera still works though. Rebooting phone and powering it off/on doesnât help 
This sounds a great way to distribute fp6 builds that might be still potentially experimental; I understand the build is not tagged beta.
Later, when returning to normal
- Please note to return to the normal official builds you will have to manually flash the official builds on your device. This is because the test builds and development or official builds are made with different keys.

Will users who follow this path be protected from installing a build with âdifferent keysâ in the future?
Test builds and Official builds will always be on different keys. To back to the official version the user will have to do a clean install - backup - format - install.

Thank you. Just to clarify, in this case #pf6 users should really do a Fresh install in order to move to Testing. I am asking as users who simply switch to Developer options > Testing will not be doing a Fresh install.

Everything works so far except Murena voice to text and also, since the last update (3.1.1-a14-20250828521739-community-lemonadep) my battery is draining more than the previous versions.

Hi, i have Teracube Emerald updated to 3.11 and outward camera still works for me. I donât know why your outward camera would stop working right after update (seems like a weird coincidence) but your problem must be something else.
I also just updated to 3.1.4 but still have problems with the mobile network. Showing no internet connection, but works when I enable âHide IPâ. Is this a known issue @Manoj? Correct, I never meant itâs impossible in the ârealityâ, as from evidence, some successfully did ;-). Thatâs why I did suggest to find more support on the UBports group.
Yes, sure, dozen times (LineageOS, /e/OS, ViperOS, Ubuntu Touch), and did help other people too. My two last were my FP6 and my wifeâs one on /e/OS last week.
Need to add:
Advanced privacy VPN seems to not work. For example Browser can not resolve names. Tried disabling private DNS but did not help.
Same issue with Galaxy S10 âbeyond1lteâ, stuck near the end, hard reboot and everything is OK so far

Iâm having audio issues again during calls with my FP4.
The problem seemed to have been resolved in previous releases, but since version 3, the issue has returned.
The sound during calls is very low in noisy environments, and I can barely hear the person Iâm talking to despite the volume level being at maximum.
Itâs very annoying; I can no longer make calls outside.
I donât remember if the problem appeared with version 3.1 or 3.0.
