Feedback for v3.1.4

Hey there,

I have the same Smartphone, but I report how the /e/ OS version 3.1.4-a14-20250915526529-official-FP4 is working on my FP4:

My applications in general work very well. But there are some things that often do not work well:

  1. Applounge 2.13.10 often does not load any contents after waiting to 3 minutes… Sometimes showing no warning, sometimes that there would be no internet connection - although I had connected Wifi, in other case I connected mobile data - still the same problem. Restarting the program many times do not help. Sometimes it works normal, but I do not understand why.
  2. Sometimes the update-function fails to search new updates, althoug connected to internet with wifi or mobile datas and shows the warning “Die Suche nach Updates ist fehlgeschlagen. Bitte überprüfe die Internetverbindung und versuche es später erneut.” → English: “The search for updates failed. Please check the internet connection and try again later.”
  3. Advanced Privacy sometimes does not hide IPs, although last time it was turned on. To fix this in the most cases I have to go to settings → “Meine IP Adresse verwalten” (Engl.: Manage my IP address) and click there sometimes alternately on “Benutze meine echte IP-Adresse” (Use my real IP adress) and “Verschleiere meine echte IP-Adresse” (Obfuscate my real IP adress) until it finally obfuscates my IP.

I do not know how to fix it and would be very glad, that this will be solutioned with the next update.

Hi,

Fairphone 6

Bought directly from fairphone holland

3.1.4 official

It works fine, no direct issues with apps, only when i go look in self diagnostics for the battery, it reads 0% and it was supposedly manufactured in 1970. Ive looked around the forums but couldnt find an active thread about it. The storage diagnostics just says 100℅ and 256gb.

It seems they accidentally sent you the time travel prototype.

Hi,

It’s my first time doing that and I’m not that knowledgable in such things so hope I’m doing this correctly.

  • Vendor Name: Fairphone

  • Device name: FP3+

  • Version of /e/OS or Stock which existed previously: not sure. I did several updates in a row, thought, not sure if that’s relevant ? The one I had before I made these several updates was 3.1.1 I believe, then I had 3.1.3 official-FP3 (I think ?) then updated to 3.1.4-t official FP3 (which is the current one I have running)

  • Is the device Rooted : I don’t think so

Issue:

Similarly as several users have already mentionned, some apps don’t work anymore. My banking app seems fine (thought took a bit more time to load) but neither the Netflix nor Crunchyroll app work, they either don’t open at all (Netflix) or endlessly load the videos (Crunchyroll). I tried Crunchyroll using the website on both my browsers and it still does the exact same thing.

Also, I’ve had this issue for a long time but the GPS/location is still way off (doesn’t locate me at the right place at all - like, it’s currently several hundreds of km off)

Have you tried updating to v3.2 yet?
I did earlier today and the GPS fix seems better now on my FP3+. Someone else has also reported the same. (Lots of people reporting that download is slow.) Feedback for v3.2

The updater was telling me up until yesterday that I had the latest version but I’m going to try that as soon as I get the update for v3.2. Thanks !

  • Vendor Name : Samsung
  • Device name : S8
  • Device CodeName : SM-G950F
  • Version of /e/OS or Stock which existed previously : 3.1.1
  • Is the device Rooted / Not rooted : not rooted

Upgrade OK. Everything is running fine. Many Thanks !

For the record: this regressed again, I think when I upgraded OsmAnd~ to 5.1.9 some weeks ago.
(After upgrading OsmAnd~, I noticed jankiness when scrolling the map, checked the OsmAnd~ settings, and “Version 2 (OpenGL)” had once again been greyed out. I don’t know for sure that that didn’t happen before the OsmAnd~ upgrade. Since then I’ve occasionally checked and “Version 2 (OpenGL)” remains greyed out.)

So whatever’s going on, it seems not entirely down to the /e/OS version, which was 3.1.4-a14 throughout.
