In fact I now also experience some problems likely related to microg. While I can log into my banking app, trying to make a payment or transfer does log me off and I’m back at the login screen. This may be related to the fact that since v3.3 update, basic play integrity fails on my FP6. I’ve seen a new version of microg is available on fdroid. Sadly we cannot upgrade to it and have to wait for next e/os update…
Do you use a google account in microg?
You should always have the latest updates for your phone. It’s just a minority of the useres that havet expierenced bugs with the update.

I now decided to update and the download went smooth. I saw that the ntfy was being installed in the background. Right now I’m not experiencing any issues with my notifications. Until now I don’t seem to have the microG issue as well, I hope it stays that way.
Thanks to the dev-team for the new workplace-app, I find that convenient.
I updated my FP6 from Fairphone-store from v3.2-a15-official to v3.3-a15-official.

I’d like to add that I am not very common with e/OS until now. I thought that there would be a possibility to connect my phone with Android Auto with e/OS 3.3:

For me it is not working. Question: Should this be a connection just for receiving calls or should it be a complete connection for using music, maps etc. on the car’s display?

I tested with both the Google account logged in and logged out with device registration and in both cases the MicroG issues (both crashes and delayed notifications) appear. Testing right now with “Trust Google for app permissions” switched on (why the hell should I do that???) and that seems to to stop the crashes and make the notifications work instantly. Needs some more testing, though.
Update: this setting is a work-around for the MicroG/Google push issues.
Any other users of the Google Pixel 7 ‘panther’ facing internet connectivity issues - mobile data / wifi post upgrade to v3.3
@eboelens has raised an issue in gitlab around this. In case you are facing internet connectivity issues post the upgrade, on the panther, pl add to the same issue.

Update took long, had to be resumed 4 times, installation and reboot w/o problems.
Issues:
updater has to be refreshed manually. Has only ever worked on first update.(3.0)
AppLounge showed everything fine, search revealed some apps WERE out of date, after updating 3 manually, AppLounge showed some for update (still not magic earth, which I did manually….)
since 3.2: after closing fullscreen apps, homescreen only shows background, changing the screen to apps and back brings icons back (I use nova launcher)
screen orientation freezes in firefox when exiting fullscreen watching youtube
Charge control set to 85% charged the phone to 100% left on charger over night
Other than that, Phone works, Android Auto with google stubs works (Magic Earth only AA integrated with paid sub), no crashes. Thanks for your continuous work!

After upgrading to /e/OS 3.3 and with the introduction of the new Murena Workspace integration, I noticed that media files are now being uploaded to the cloud automatically. This behavior appears to occur without clear user consent or an explicit opt-in during or after the upgrade.
This is a significant change compared to previous versions and raises concerns about transparency and user control over personal data. I chose Murena specifically for its privacy-focused approach, and this automatic media synchronization undermines that trust.
I would like clarification on whether this behavior is intended, how users can fully disable it, and why explicit consent was not required.

Cannot set Display Pin (Dialogue crashes)
Cannot restore to Stock OS, as Developer Settings Dialogue crashes, which leads to not beeing able to activate USB Debugging
Did you lock the bootloader ? Otherwise you can reinstall the StockOS or a previous version of /e/OS using the command line installer and fastboot.
