That’s done, thanks jobal!
Hi @Gaea I added your charging feedback here: Issues reported on v3.6 (#9277) · Issues · e / Backlog · GitLab
Thanks
The QA team member was able to download and install the herolte build without issue. They have requested that you create an issue in GItlab so that they and the developers can check why you are facing this issue.
OS updates and upgrades increase the chance of failure, but the chance of sudden failure of your device is always there.
A smartphone is a very delicate electronic device internally. Of course it’s built as robust as possible overall, but the tiny electronic structures it contains are not very robust in themselves. They can be compromised or they can fail at any time due to normal radiation around us or due to electromagnetic disturbances or also due to age. Luckily not an everyday experience for everybody, but it happens. Ask yourself why there’s so-called ECC memory for really important computing.
Software adds another layer to this.
You are right to approach any update cautiously, as nobody can and will guarantee you that it will succeed on your device without problems, software is too complicated for this.
So, if you “need the phone”, you need a plan B at the ready at all times anyway, including a working regular backup regime.
Nobody will tell you “the next update will solve all issues and will install on your device without any problem”. Anything can happen. Always hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
The odds of sw damaging hw are nowhere near high.
Software doesn’t need to damage hardware to make a device unusable suddenly. But it can also damage hardware, e.g. via overheating.
We are not talking about high probabilities anyway, luckily, but anything above zero chance might be a considerable risk if someone’s personal need of phone uptime is 100%.

Installation of the update went fine.
Thanks to the team!
No new bugs observed so far, except that the Camera App does report “no gallery app available” when trying to open the gallery by the corresponding button and there are not yet taken any pictures with the Camera App (means: There are no pictures in the Camera folder). After shooting at least one foto this message doesn’t appear anymore.
I also upgraded via local update from 3.6 A15 to A16.
All went fine for
- Motorola Edge 30
- dubai
Thanks
After forcing the AA update ( aurora) all is working fine again

Hello,
I have a Terracube that I purchased from e soluutions and a few days ago I downloaded and installed version 3.6 Zirconia. It was installed and the phone was working fine using phone, text, and email until a few hours ago when I got a recovery screen. I am getting a Recovery screen now that I don’t know what to do with. I am not tech savvy and need instructions on how to get back my text messages, pictures, and data.
Please advise. The screen has several choices:
Reboot system now (tried this and it doesn’t work)
Apply update
Factory reset
Advanced
Install completed with status 3.
Installation aborted.
Install completed with status 3.
Installation aborted.
I can’t apply a factory reset because I need the data, text messages, and pictures that are on the phone for work.
Please walk me through how to get the install completed and access my phone data.
Thank you,
Stan

Hi Jools,
I have added your low volume feedback in gitlab issue.
Thx
Thanks. Everything else is perfect.
I have the same issue since 3.4.
Tasks Widget didnt open Tasks in App since Update 1.4.4 and / or eOS 3.4
may anyone can fix it some time.
If the phone was purchased from the /e/OS store you can contact helpdesk to help you with the resolution using the Contact Us form if not already done.
Hi, just a headsup for you. I had to replace the power/audio module on my Fairphone 3+ as no spares on /e/. Just had an email from Fairphone that support is ending for 3 and 3+ as of August 2026. No more spare parts once stock has expired.
Last night I switched on Privacy switch, connected to charger, then from the lock screen I selected ‘Power Off’ from the lock screen and the phone rebooted. This happened twice until I entered my PIN to get to the active phone session and ‘Power off’ worked from that, not the Lock Screen.
Fairphone 6 purchased from murena.
Not rooted.
