I’d rather liked the backup app as a Nextcloud app installable on up to date Nextcloud instances working with the backup functionality of my e/OS/ mobile. Being limited to Murena Cloud does not make sense for me.

Update to 4.1.1 A16 official worked without problems. Thanks to the team! 
Following issues so far:
- Hardware switch for microphone and camera not working when screen is locked
- Scrolling sometimes “feels” a bit laggy, even with 120Hz activated. Didn’t realize this with 4.0 A15 official
- Installed kernel version is 6.1.129-android14-11-gbb… from 2nd July 2025 06:03:41 UTC. Is this planned?
This is strange. I am still on e/OS 4.0 and my kernel version is 6.1.118-android14 but the date of the kernel is Oct 16, 2025….so it can’t be more recent than yours.

Is there any update on this?
My use case is to backup with Seedvault locally and than backup it from there on other devices with Syncthing. That works great and this flexible solution is something I don’t want to loose. I understand that Murena wants to make it easier for novice users and I agree with that, but as an advanced user I like to control these things myself. Also my backup is much too large (13GB) for the Murena cloud.

I also get the “no connection to server” message when trying to connect to my own nextcloud installation.
Did you do anything else except installing the Passwords app, e.g. enable E2EE?

Have updated to 4.1.1 yesterday and so far everything seems to function as it should.
I am also enjoying the offline speech-to-text function. Is is over 90% accurate for English, but it is significantly less accurate in other language (French for example). I’m not a native speaker of either, so accent concerns should be equal.
Does anybody know if the backup&restore function is planned to include a local repository at some point in the future? Or it was only envisioned as “backup to the cloud”?

Nice voice keybord offline option but
Seem that mic button is an overlay icon on the screen and is bad located if word suggestion is deactivated.
Could it be usable as vocal entry not only a keyboard?
