Files in Murena cloud deleted & trash emptied but still show on phone

I went to System settings > Account sync and enabled sync for all items after deleting files, & enabled Automatically sync app data, but the phone (see pic) does not agrees with the cloud as per my computer browser which shows no files. How do I get them to sync? Fairphone 4 with /e/OS/3.7.1

you mean either: that you have space again doesn’t reflect in the widget: showing 0 of 5 GB used, or you wonder why the deletion job on murena.io doesn’t reflect in the Files on the phone to get files deleted likewise?

that I can answer: there’s no back propagation of deletions from cloud->device. It was there once, but then got disabled.

It’s been a point of irritation.

Does it work the other way around? That if I delete a file on the device is it then also deleted in the cloud?

you should test and get up to date first-hand experience.

I do look at the code once a year, and judging from the pull requests since 2025 things still are at no deletions in either direction

No, it does not.
If I delete files on the device, they persist in the cloud.

You might want to not expose your personal mail adress as this is a publuc forum (you might eg blurr the name-part of the mailadress in the screenshot)
