using the tool and account you used to unlock the phone – I remember using MiUnlockTool to connect to my account and finding an Unbrick option.
An official Xiaomi repair centre would likely have at their disposal EDL, Emergency Download Mode, which should be able to recover the situation. EDL is not officially documented for end users.
I didn’t - as far as I’m aware, MiUnlockTool is for windows only and I am running linux. I can’t run windows for a lot of reasons, and I couldn’t get MiUnlockTool running in Wine/Proton. So for now I will probably get in contact with a friend to borrow their windows device.
If the unbrick option does not do anything I will contact an official xiaomi repair centre.
I’ve tried that now, but the tool keeps telling me explicitly that I should not be using it unless I can get into fastboot and recovery (which I can do but only for a short amount of time). I think it would surely be a horrendous idea to try running this tool when fastboot interrupting itself could actually hardbrick my device?
Well, I talked to a repair guy. They said I’m only really going to be able to fix it using EDL and that I cucked myself quite hard. Also that if they are fixing it it will cost 60 GBP roughly (~75 USD). So I’m probably going to get it fixed by them, then sell and buy a oneplus phone for making my own custom rom
